A product ad for H.LAB's butterfly barbells, cut to Glue by Bicep. Filmed in-studio and built around the track's structure, ending on a question aimed straight at every other gym in town.

Selling a Barbell Like a Product Launch

Most gym equipment gets photographed on a rack. This one got an ad. The video introduces H.LAB's butterfly barbells the way a brand would launch a product, opening on the bar against the wall with the word "introducing" shaking on screen before the track builds.

The music is Glue by Bicep, and the whole edit is built around it. Every claim lands on a beat, and the drop is where the strongest line hits.

The Build

The copy runs as a sequence of escalating claims: the most versatile bar on the market, designed by an exercise physiologist, designed for comfort, enhanced wrist support, hundreds of exercises in one bar. Each is backed by footage of members actually using it, with layered low-opacity duplicates flashing over the frame showing the same bar mid-different movements, which does in two seconds what a list of exercises would take thirty to explain.

Everything was filmed in-studio using the space's own lighting and colours, keeping it consistent with the rest of the brand's content.

The final shot pulls the room into darkness and lights only the bar on the wall, closing on the line: does your gym have these?

Why That Ending

That closing question does two jobs at once. For members it turns a piece of equipment into a point of pride, and for anyone else watching it plants a comparison against every other gym they could be training at. Equipment is one of the few genuinely hard-to-copy advantages a boutique studio has, and this ad exists to make sure people know it's there.
